The Evolution of Muid Associates
Muid Associates is the result of a visionary journey that began in the 1980s with the founding of Tawqa Systems—a pioneering initiative rooted in the mission of “restoring the light and returning to purity.”
After earning his Master’s degree in Social Work from SUNY Stony Brook University, Dr. Onaje Muid launched Muid and Muid Associates (MMA) in 2004, building on this foundational vision. Over the years, he expanded his practice by completing advanced post-graduate certifications in African-Centered Social Work, International Trauma Studies, and Spirituality in Social Work.
Each phase of this evolution reflects Dr. Muid’s lifelong commitment to culturally grounded healing, holistic transformation, and the integration of spirit in social justice practice.
